Vector and Illustrated portraits or characters is becoming very popular in today’s advertising. For instance, the E-Surance commercials, featuring the spy like female character that saves people from paying too much for insurance. This tutorial will show you how to create a simple portrait of a person or thing with vector shapes and a little creativity.

Nomadic Flow

At last I’ve launched Nomadic Flow.com. This site will serve as my portfolio, blog, and showcase for design. My previous site, imbanks.com, was up for a while I needed something fresh. I decided to re-brand the entire thing into a new and exciting portal for me to expand within. Imbanks.com was great for a starter portfolio. It got me many freelance jobs and my first full time position as “Webmaster”. Always thought that title was slightly cooler than most of the cooperate titles in the office.

I really wanted to re-invent my portfolio because I’ve evolved as a person and designer. I actually created the first one in an attempt to win a design contest in my last term of college. The title “Nomadic Flow” is based on the change and movement in creative design.

I enjoy travelling frequently, and I think everyone should attempt to step outside their boundaries once in a while. This is also my first attempt at an actual blog. So bare with me and feel free to slow down to watch the crash of this Creative Drifter.
